Yugoslavia is falling apart. Norway is not only a new homeland, but also a place for change. Could he bring new life into the world before he has become a victim of his own past? As he grows up, he must also redefine family, artistic creation, and love. No one can pick up the pieces of his life but himself.
Danilo Brakočević's play is a vivid story of a generation that is desperately searching for its own origins and identity. The inability to find it creates a constant longing, a constant feeling of being outside, homeless, rootless. The work fascinatingly brings together the political history of Europe and the personal tragedy of an individual.
The play won the international Aurora Play Prize awarded by Teatr Polski Bydgoszcz in 2023.
