Biu struggles with experiences of detachment and non-belonging while traveling to their mother Mää in her native Thailand. Biu is non-binary, in a relationship with a woman, and worried that their mother may not accept their identity.
In addition to Thailand, the play takes place in Biu's hometown of Helsinki and in a cave on Mää's nose, where Biu encounters themself, their mother, and their mother's unexpected past. Thailand always reminds them of itself in the form of language and the character Sammanakkha, even if Biu focuses on their life and relationship with Marika in Finland.
The play's view of Biu and the people in Biu's life is gentle: when you are loved, you can blink in peace.
