Snežana Gnjidić emerged on the Serbian cultural scene in 1986 as a playwright with the TV drama "Sisters" (RTS) and the TV movie "Summer" in 1990 (Radio Television Vojvodina), before dedicating many years to the Education Department of TV Belgrade. Her drama "Mechanical Moon" was performed on the main stage of the "Boško Buha" theater. She has authored several radio dramas, independent art video projects, and twice won awards for best documentary drama at Radio Belgrade competitions. She has published six picture books for children aged 3-7. Her novel for teenagers, "Runaway Mom," received an award in 2019 from a competition held by the publishing house Klet. Snežana's plays "Tmusa, so my heart," "How I Became Sasha Again," and "A Bear’s Child" have been performed in Belgrade and across Serbia. Her children's drama "Why Tails Are Important" (2019) continues to be staged on alternative theater scenes in Belgrade.
Her play "Einstein's Wife" was the first play from Serbia to have its world premiere in an English translation, staged in a professional American theater with an entirely American cast of esteemed Washington actors.
