E. L. Karhu’s latest play, *Marian Blessing Makes Her Escape*, had its world premiere at Theater Oberhausen on October 8, 2026. The play has been translated into German by Stefan Moster and is directed by Jonas Weber.
Karhu’s wildly comic and anarchic play delves into the treatment of the elderly, human dignity, and utopias. It compels the audience to truly listen—for the first time—to those we would gladly shut out of our minds.
