Esikaupungin enkelit (Suburban Angels) by Martta Mercedes Jylhä has been selected as one of the five finalists of AURORA - The City of Bydgoszcz Drama Award. The jury praised the refined sense of metaphor and poetic language of the five shortlisted plays, as well as their willingness to face subjects of significant social and political importance. The shortlisted plays will be translated into Polish and the winning play will be announced later this year.
Suburban Angels is already available in Finnish and English, and will also be translated into Latvian.
