Nordic Drama Corner is the largest theatrical agency in Finland, with a strong international dimension. We offer Finnish theatres a wide selection of foreign plays as well as works of the top Finnish playwrights. We have close and personal contacts with the entire theatre industry in Finland, and we also maintain a worldwide network based on our longstanding work in the field.
Nordic Drama Corner has its roots in the 1920s, when two Finnish theatre organisations, The Association of Finnish Theatres and the Association for Amateur and Professional Theatres founded their own theatrical agencies. In 1993, these two organizations combined their agency services, and thus Nordic Drama Corner was formed. In 2002, Nordic Drama Corner was re-established as a limited company, Nordic Drama Corner Ltd. Nordic Drama Corner keeps a close eye on forms of theatre in Finland and abroad. We offer theatres texts, arrange performance rights, commission the translations of plays and acquire adaptation rights from Finland and abroad. With the help of our international network we also want to promote our Finnish plays for the world stage. Our staff is composed of experienced theatre professionals, who maintain personal contacts with Finnish theatre practitioners, both professional and amateur.
